Swatchの電池切れで購入しましたが、無事に交換できました。なんの問題もありません。金色にしてある意味が感じられなかったので、総合評価満点にはしませんでした。

偏光フィルターのレンズ角度が斜めにずれていました。レンズは本体と両面テープで接着されており、回転させて調整することができません。レンズを剥がそうとしたところ、破れてしまいました。写真では刃物で傷つけているシーンがありますが、レンズは非常に脆いです。

This is a sturdy, well-designed and attractive hood. Made of aluminium, its anodised exterior and finely ribbed, light absorbing matt interior finish puts me in mind of a time when most lens hoods were made to such high standards and plastics were a rarity in photographic gear. The hood is also threaded on the inside (46mm) so, depending on one’s preference, you need never remove the hood to swap out filters. Kudos, F-Foto!Still, it must be said that the effectiveness of a shallow hood in shading the lens against unwanted light is debatable, but at the very least it may provide some physical protection to front elements that are not particularly recessed. One reviewer was concerned that due to the sturdy nature of this hood, a sufficient impact might damage the lens through leverage. However, this assumes that the Z VR 16-50mm lens is of a far weaker construction than is actually the case, so an impact of that magnitude would likely damage the lens if it were fitted with a plastic hood. In any case, it is the photographer’s duty to ensure such an impact doesn’t occur. Beginners, though, might feel more cofident using a hood than not.Obviously, at a price point currently of ￥1,680, the F-Foto HN-40 hood represents excellent value, especially when compared to Nikon’s flimsy plastic HN-40 hood which, at the time of writing, has a list price of ￥2,530 at Nikon Direct. Of course, one could argue that the hood should have been included with the Z VR 16-50mm, but this is one bit of penny-pinching I can forgive Nikon for because, otherwise, I might never have discovered a need for this superior F-Foto product.
